The sad news spread like wildfire over the internet and it was a shame that certain papers lead with his personal life rather than mourning the loss of one of fashion's shining stars. It is such a shame that incredible talent so often has to come at a price and I thank you all for joining this group and sharing the positivity of the legacy he has left us with.
I found out when I visited "The sartorialist" blog, and the news shocked me. He is undoubtedly one of Britain's national treasures. I still can't get over the fact that he is indeed gone. A very sad day for me, and all Mcqueen fans.
I have placed a three post tribute to my idol on my blog. I truly did my homework and expressed my sorrow for this tragedy please read.

thanks for invitation Tributes for 'brilliant' designer Alexander McQueen
So, so sad. Such a huge loss. He was one of my favourite designers. He will be missed."
I actually just squeeled 'Oh my god!' just then when I found out. He was one of the most talented designers out there and this is truly a sad moment in history.
RIP McQueen ILY X
Thanks to those who have joined already. I couldn't think of a better way to pay tribute to one of Britain's greatest fashion desingers than by setting up this group for us all to share pieces we've had saved up or creating looks in his honour. Our thoughts should all be with his family during this terrible time. Let's not also forget the talented team that will be devastated by this news just days before fashion week. It will be a strain on them all to pull off the show without thier leader
